Phantasmagoria was founded by KISAKI on November 1, 2004. On December 7th, they performed their first live show at Y2K Roppongi, and on December 21st, they released a SHOXX Special CD, which came free with SHOXX magazine and featured their song Material Pain. On December 22nd they released 5,000 copies of 「Moonlight Revival」, their first Maxi Single which contained 3 tracks. It was around this time that Shion, who was their drummer at the time, injured his foot and had to temporarily leave the band. The KISAKI band 10th Year Anniversary Memorial Event, “REMAIN OF THE 1OTH YEARS HISTORY”was held by UNDER CODE PRODUCTION on January 7, 2005. This event, which was held at Shibuya O-West sold out, and featured Phantasmagoria, Vidoll, D'espairsRay, D, MASK, 12012, and Shelly Trip Realize. Phantasmagoria quickly gained popularity, and within a short time the 「Moonlight Revival」 CD was sold out. On February 1, 2005 Shion had to leave the band permanently as a result of his foot injury. Matoi became their drummer as a support member.
In mid February 2005, KISAKI and Ao Sakurai worked together to produce Visual-Kei Chemical-Reaction Event “Four-Dimensional Fellowship Treaty”, an event which featured Phantasmagoria, lab., Vidoll, and Metronome. During this project the four bands collaborated to produce the Shijigen Yuukou Jouyaku - “4-Dimensional Fellowship Treaty” CD, which contained one track from each of the four bands, and was only available at the 3 live shows on the tour, which were held at Osaka BIG CAT on February 19th, Nagoya ELL on February 20th, and Tokyo Liquid Room ebisu on February 26th.
In March Phantasmagoria participated in 2 omnibus projects. On March 1st they participated in the omnibus DVD “KINDLING Vol:1”, and on March 2nd they participated in the omnibus CD“High Style Paradox 4-re acceleration-”. On March 12th, Matoi became an official member of the band.
They participated in the omnibus CD "Kansai seiatsu 2004~2005" on April 6th, and their first DVD clips “geneizou I~after the Moonlight Revival~”, went on sale the same day.
On June 1st, their 2nd maxi single, "NEVER REBELLION" went on sale. It contains 2 songs, and the first press was limited to 5,000 copies. Phantasmagoria and Rentrer en soi began the ""konketsu -PR ASSOSIATION-" 6 date coupling tour on June 4th. This tour concluded on July 14th.
Phantasmagoria continued their activities over the next few months, performing live shows and participating in several omnibus projects.
Then in October, they came to the U.S. to perform at the Oni-Con convention. This was not only their first performance in the U.S.; it was also their first one-man live show. They enjoyed the U.S. so much that they want to come back.
In February and March 2006, they will be performing several live shows. |

April 2006
Phantasmagoria will be releasing 2 new DVDs over a 2 month period. The first release will be "SURVIVOR'S GUILT-2005,10.21&22 USA Houston, Texas Park Plaza Hotel Reliant-" 」 on June 21st, which was recorded at their 1st One Man performance in Houston. The second release will be "TERRITORY OF DIVINE-2006.3.27 SHIBUYA-AX" on July 26th, which was recorded at their 1st Japanese One Man performance at SHIBUYA AX.
They also participated in 3 compilations which will all be released on May 31st. The "PLEASURE of DESTRUCTION" CD will contain a track which has not yet been announced. "NIHON SEIATSU-2005.11.30 TOKYO LIQUIDROOM ebisu-" is a compilation live DVD, and "NIHON SEIATSU-Bands@id ch-" is a compilation documentary DVD.
